BOSU NexGen

The NEW BOSU NexGen Pro Balance Trainer has a whole new look, new exercises, and a textured dome with 4 quadrants to help with positional cueing and grip

BOSU® NexGen Pro Balance Trainer

As a Chiropractor, Lumbar CORE weakness is the prevalent indicator of back pain, postural imbalance and predictor of future injuries or flare-ups. Current statistics show that over 80% of the population will have back pain at one or more periods of time in their life which may lead to chronic pain and even disability. We, as a technology-based society, spend most of our days sitting at a desk, in front of a computer or TV which just compounds this weakness and prevalence for chronic injuries and pain. I have seen the BOSU for years at many Gyms and Fitness Centers and was given the opportunity to demo their newest model called the NexGen Pro Balance Trainer. BOSU was originally designed in 2000 by David Weck and means “both sides” utilized as you can approach exercise from either scenario…giving you a multi-functioning workout tool. The NexGen has 4 quadrants that are textured to allow you to position different areas for specific training on balance, agility, strength and CORE stabilization. The textured markings which are different than the Generation I model, adds additional grip surface and stability features by performing multiple exercises without slippage. The unit is highly durable, measures 25.5 inches around and 10 inches high. The platform is designed for high levels of activity and durability and includes a non-skid base for added security on multiple floors. This NexGen gives the athlete a multitude of different options from a platform or a sphere and has downloadable exercises and DVDs to add to the continual variety and prevent boredom. The unit is made in the Buckeye state of Ohio which I am proudly a resident. I appreciate the dedication of the Hedstrom company for making USA based products. The NexGen is reasonably priced for only $179. The BOSU NexGen Pro Balance Trainer is an essential CORE, balance and strength conditioning tool that will improve your stability strength and reduce future injuries and enhance proper spinal biomechanics.
